U320 Twist-n-Flat Cables

We use Amphenol Spectra Strip Twist 'N' Flat®

in our standard flat SCSI ribbon cable assemblies:

• Backward Compatible
• Twisted-Pair in 5.25" Sections
• Twisted-Pair in 9.85" Sections
• Custom Twisted-Pair Available

Connector Placement

Connectors can be attached only to the flat areas of the cable.
We offer two types of cable:

One allows connectors every 5.25", the other allows connectors every 9.85".

Termination Styles

Terminating your SCSI bus is important to run your system effectively. We offer two ways of terminating your flat cable:

Designing your Custom Internal SCSI Cable

Simply provide us with the following:

• Environment type (Fast, Wide, U320, etc)
• Dimensions between the connectors
• Connector types (VHD68, HD68, etc.)
• Any mounting plates, pull tabs and strain relief
• Termination: crimped to the cable, mated onto the connector, or in male / female feed-thru styles

Round-to-Flat

Non-braided round cable is used internally to increase airflow and to keep cable size to a minimum. Custom wiring is available.

The cable jacket can be completely removed and replaced with mesh netting for increased flexibility.
