SAS Drive Power Cables

SAS SFF-8482 Male cables have 29-pins and generally have a power connector attached by a 6-inch cord of wires.

SAS SFF-8482 Female cables have 22-pins (17+5) and are identifiable by a non-enclosed shell. The gold contacts are exposed. They are also wired to a power connector.

Thus the SFF-8482 cables are often referred to as SAS power cables. They have either the 4-pin power, LP4, IDE or the 15-pin SATA power connectors.
